About Our Congregation

A Faith-Centered Community in the Heart of Sussex, New Brunswick

Our Story

The Sussex Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses has been a cherished part of the Sussex, New Brunswick community for decades. Located at 28 O'Connell Avenue, our Kingdom Hall serves as a center for Bible education, spiritual fellowship, and community service.

Sussex is a town with deep roots — settled by United Empire Loyalists in 1786 and known as the "Dairy Centre of the Maritimes." Our congregation reflects this heritage of hard work, hospitality, and community spirit. From the scenic Kennebecasis River valley to the famous covered bridges of Kings County, Sussex is a place we are proud to call home.

We are a diverse group of individuals and families united by a common love for the Bible and a desire to share its message with others. Our doors are open to everyone — regardless of background, age, or experience — and all of our programs are offered completely free of charge.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to sharing accurate Bible knowledge, helping people apply its principles in daily life, and building a supportive spiritual family — all free of charge.

📖

Bible Education

We teach what the Bible actually says — not human tradition or philosophy. Our goal is to help individuals and families find practical answers from God's Word.

🤝

Community Support

We provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to our neighbors through visits, literacy programs, disaster relief, and compassionate counseling.

🌍

Global Brotherhood

We are part of a worldwide organization of over 8 million Jehovah's Witnesses, united in worship and service across more than 240 countries and territories.

Who We Are

Our congregation is made up of people from all walks of life — families, young people, seniors, professionals, and newcomers to the area. What unites us is our love for Jehovah God and our desire to learn from the Bible together.

The congregation is cared for by a body of dedicated elders and ministerial servants — experienced, Bible-trained men who provide spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and teaching. Every member of our congregation — known as publishers — is a volunteer who participates in our Bible education work.

We are a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. Our Registry ID is 765285713RR0001. All of our activities are funded voluntarily, and we never take collections or charge for any of our services.
